Meet Dr. Durham

Dr. Jay Durham was born and raised in Fort Payne, Alabama. He attended Auburn University, where he graduated in 2002, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. While attending Auburn University, Dr. Durham was inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, and Alpha Epsilon Delta honor societies. Upon receiving his degree from Auburn University, Dr. Durham was awarded a Dental Merit scholarship to attend the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham.

Upon graduation from dental school in 2006, Dr. Durham was awarded several honors. He was recognized for being on the Dean's List each quarter for all four years of dental school, inducted into the exclusive Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society, and received the American Association of Orthodontists Award for exceptional interest in the development of the orofacial complex.

After completion of dental school, Dr. Durham immediately entered into the orthodontic residency program at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He successfully completed the Phase II written examination of the American Board of Orthodontics in April 2008. Dr. Durham completed his three-year residency program in April 2009, earning his Master of Science degree with his master's thesis titled, "A Comparison of Two Soft Tissue Gingivectomy Techniques."

durhamfamilyDr. Durham and his wife, Kelly, have three children, Wyatt, Tucker and Riley. Kelly is a Physician Assistant at Dermatology Associates, PC in Huntsville. The Durhams are excited about their opportunity here in Madison and have really enjoyed becoming involved in the community. During his free time, Dr. Durham enjoys spending time with friends and family, hunting and watching college football.
