Meet Dr. Jay Durham, D.M.D, M.S.
Dr. Durham is a native of Fort Payne, Alabama. He attended Auburn University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. While attending Auburn University, Dr. Durham belonged to the Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, and Alpha Epsilon Delta honor societies. After completing his degree, Dr. Durham received a Dental Merit scholarship to attend the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham.
Upon graduation from dental school in 2006, Dr. Durham received several honors. He was recognized for being on the Dean’s List each quarter for all four years of dental school. In addition, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. He also received the American Association of Orthodontists Award for exceptional interest in the development of the orofacial complex.
After completion of dental school, Dr. Durham soon entered into a residency program at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. While there, he successfully completed the Phase II written exam of the American Board of Orthodontics in April, 2008. Then, he completed his three-year residency program in April, 2009. After completing his residency, he earned his Master of Science degree with his master’s thesis titled, “A Comparison of Two Soft Tissue Gingivectomy Techniques.”

Personal Life
Dr. Durham and his wife, Kelly, have four children, Wyatt (8), Tucker (6), Riley (4), and Miller (2). Kelly is a Physician Assistant at Dermatology Associates, PC in Huntsville. In addition, the Durhams are passionate about their opportunity here in Madison and enjoy working with the community. During his free time, Dr. Durham enjoys spending time with friends and family, hunting, and watching college football.
